  Realistic PRO-2026 (100 Channel Mobile Programmable Scanner)
  Subject:  Faster Scan Rate Mod

  Locate Y-201 (800J ceramic resonator, small blue rectangular
  componet near the Uniden UC1461 microprocessor) the clock
  resonator (frequency of 800K HZ)

  A speedup of 25% to 100% is possible, but more than that will
  cause problems

  A 1.0Mz to 1.6Mz ceramic resonator is needed, but if those can't
  be located use a 1M HZ quartz rock similar to Digikey numbers
  X-066 (HC-49a, 1.000mhz quartz crystal) and X-804 ( 1.00mhz
  crystal). This will provide a 25% speed increase. Replace the
  original Y-201 with one of these crystals..
