TM733 Kenwood's new TM-733A dual bander DOES do cross-band repeating. However I couldn't find anything in the Manual. So I tried the same button sequence as used on the TM-741. I didn't cut any diodes or anything, just pushed buttons! TM-733 Cross-Band Repeat 1. Set frequencies, squelch, and Time Out Timer [F](1s)[TOT]. 2. For one way repeat, [Band Select] the transmit band. For two way repeat, [Band Select] one, [Control Select] the other. (If one frequency is a repeater output, "Control Select" that band.*) 3. Toggle on/off cross band repeat with [F](1s)[MUTE]. All decimal points come on to indicate repeat mode active. *Note: The frequency most likely to have interference should be the one you[Control Select]. If an unwanted QSO via repeater with a long squelch tail, or other continuous carrier is received, the [F] key will not function, thus you will not be able to turn-off the cross-band repeat function. You can turn it off by using [Control Select] first, then [F](1s)[MUTE], only if the interfering carrier is on the "Control Selected" frequency. If the interference is on the "Band Selected" frequency, disconnecting the antenna is the only way to regain control. PS The TM-741 can be unseized with the little LED [Control Select] buttons. Also, new TM-733 owners, READ THE FINE PRINT on page 41 before changing the memory channel ratio!! Otherwise, GREAT little radio Kenwood! KM6QX, John in Lafayette, California, 6 miles east of Berkeley
